The Edible Art Cafe is an award winning restaurant and community hub in Nova Scotia’s Annapolis Valley. We offer creative and locally sourced food, along with fresh baked goods, local art, and live music daily. We also have a popular line of “Grab & Go” frozen take home meals.
We’ve created this website to share our passions, and to offer global delivery of other creative foods.
My wife Ariell and I founded Edible Art in the summer of 2012, and opened the cafe on November 17th 2013. The sole purpose at the time was to come together from over five thousand miles of separation. Ariell had grown up in the Annapolis Valley, and was well known for her culinary creations over the years, so when we found our current location in the former band room and bus garage of the old Horton High School, the answer was clear. I would immigrate from Hawaii, after 15 years in the hotel industry.
The result has been the most profound act of creation in both of our lives. Having two baby boys (Dax & Gavin) in our first two years, while creating a fusion of our love for food, art, and music. We’ve shared everything with our customers along the way, many of whom have become like family. The launching of this site coincides with the 3rd anniversary of opening our cafe doors, and we’d like to invite you all into the Edible Art family as we take our brand to the global level.
Thanks so much for visiting, and we’ll look forward to sharing as we continue to grow. Please don’t hesitate to comment, share, or get in touch.
